Who you are should not be defined by external events and circumstances

When you remember Who You Really Are at the core of your being, living according to it becomes your daily work. That is not an easy tast, as it requires years of years of practice, but it is the most important endeavour man would ever be engaged in for himself the in his entire life.

Who You Really Are is perfection, wholeness, loving, kindness, fearless, abundant, expension, infinite intelligence, etc. When your higher self looks at you, that's what he sees. When you think of who you are, it's what you should remember.

Again, it's not an easy task. It's even the most difficult thing you would ever have to undertake in your life. And, as difficult as it may be, it's worthwhile doing it.

Now, when you meet the outer world, do it from the stand point of your true nature. That is, from who you really are. Never let events and circumstances dictate you what to do and be. Be still, no matter what and be aware.

Even though you do not succeed during all your life time here on the earth, keep doing it anyway.

Good luck in your never ending journey !

No borderline exists between where you are and want to be

There is no limit or separation line, in time and space, between where you are right now and where you want to be. The only limit or borderline there is, is the one you create in your own mind.

Look at a mature fruit hung on a branch of a tree, for example. How long does it take between when it is still fixed upon the branch and when it is detached from it ? Can you determine it ? Can you also determine the distance or the space between this branch and the fruit, before it is completelly released from the branch and fall down ?

Time and space in these examples are very slight, aren't they ? Now, here is another one. Take a bank note, whatever it is. Can you determine the distance between its two sides ? I don't know about you, but according to me, it seems almost impossible.

It is exactly the same thing between where you are now, whatever the circumstances, and where you want to be. As we said earlier, there is no border at all between the two states. Again, the only border there is, exists in your mind.

Let's say for example that you are sick, and you want to recover. In your mind, what happens ? You wait for the moment you will be healthy again. But, between the moment you are still sick and the precise moment you recover, can you tell how long it takes ? I don't think so.

Remove the limit, or the border that is in your mind and cross it to reach the place you want to be. Know that it's just the same continuous line. You maintain yourself on one side because you imagine that there is a border that separates you from the other. But, this border does not exist.

The question is, how to cross all these limits or borderlines imposed by yourself on yourself ? How to do that ?

When you know how you create first all the small limits to yourself, you know also how to remove them. Let me first remind you some examples of limits your create to yourself. "I am sick and I want to be well". Conclusion: there is a border between my current state and the one I'd like to have. "I am fat and I want to be slim". Conclusion : there is a separation line between the two states. "I want money", "I want a home", "I want a relationship", etc. Conclusion: a limit separates me from what I want.

What you are doing is focusing on little things, that represent limits or borders to yourself. That is how you create them. That means, you have as many limits as things you want. The good news is that you can remove them at once. How ?

Have a very, very, high ideal for yourself. Because when you find it, and you become consumed by it, nothing else will matter again. You will forget about everything else, you will forget all your other limits, and will have only this big one in mind.

My limit, so to speak, is All That Is :God. It's what I want to be like, and nothing else matters. Nothing else is important. I know it's difficult, and really impossible indeed. But, it's what I have chosen. And, since I have imposed this limit to myself , all the others have been removed.

The paradox is, when you do that, the things you no longer care about starts flowing to you. The explanation is this : "Seek the kingdom of God first, and everything else will be added onto you ".

God's blessings flow eternally

God's blessings and wellbeing never stop. They are inherent to Him, and eternal, like God Himself. Most of the time, we turn our back to God, and ask Him why He has abandoned us.

God cannot and will never do that. We are 100% responsible of our life, the way it is. God has nothing to do with the problems we have, or the "bad" things that happen to us. We separate ourselves from Him, by living the way we choose.

When you are in a dark room during a sunny day, and all you can see is darkness, it does not mean the sun is gone. No. It is still there, shining. But, you have put yourself in place where it rays have no access to you.

The same thing is true with God, the Source of wellbeing. We separate ourselves from Him and His wellbeing, by not being at a place where they can reach us. And we do it by living as we want, or as we choose, but not as we should in order to be in harmony with him.

When we live as we should, with the idea to reestablish our connection with God, we become receptive and open; then, place ourselves back where all His wellbeing and blessings flow incessantly and eternally.

Love God, with all your heart, soul, spirit and strength. Live as you should or ought, in order to be at the same wave lenght as Him. You must become like Him, in order to be in harmony with Him.

When you do, there is no need to ask any more, you just go with the flow. Because, there is not a better proof of your separation from Him than your asking.

Think about it and...

The world you perceive is your own

We all live in the same world, or the same universe, but our interpretaton of it is different and is what creates our reality. Two people cannot perceive and interpret something the same way. Because, there are as many people as worlds.

When you look at something, and make a negative judgment about it, this judgment becomes yourown reality. In fact, the all world is neutral and has no meaning at all, out of the one you give to it.

Judge not !

Your faculty to interpret your environment allows you to judge what you perceive, and your perception becomes a decision which, in turn, has authority and power on what is perceived to maintain it as such.

For example, when you look at your wallet or your bank account balance and notice that it is empty, the general tendency is to interpret this as you being broke. Right ? However, this is only a fact, and it is neutral. But, you are going to give it a meaning, which will become real to you, but not for other people.

Because, someone else will translate otherwise and give a different meaning, or a different interpretation to the same fact; such as "wow, there is now enough room in my wallet to keep all the money that is coming to me", etc.

You see, it's just a matter of giving a positive meaning to what you perceive, no matter what or how it appears to be.

Remember that only your translation and interpretation of what is perceived is what leads to judgment or decision, which in turn give a meaning which will then become your reality.

Why is it normal ?

You wake up in the morning and instantly jump on your feet, go to the bathroom, eat your breakfast, run to your office, etc.

Why do you assume it is normal ?

It is not !

Because while doing all these things, some people like you, cannot. Maybe they are ill sick, accidented, or disabled. The truth is, not everybody is lucky as you are. You do not realize it. That's why you think it is normal.

But, not only do you think so, you even ask for more. You do not appreciate how blessed you are. You are not grateful for your abundance. You do not even see it. No ! It is only what you think is missing in your life that you cherish. Not what you have. And the thing is, when you get it, you forget it !

How can you behave like that ? How can you love what you do not have yet, instead of what you hold in your hands, right now ?

Nonsense !

In addition, you worry for little things, such as bills, homes, cars, money, and so on. Do you think they are more important than you ? Do you think they have more value than the magnificant being that you are ?

What a pity !

Let me ask you something. Could you exchange your legs, your eyes, your hands, or any important organ of your body for those things ?

A normal person, surely, won't; even for all the stuff in the world. That means, nothing is more important than you.

Be grateful for your life, for your body, for your health, for your abundance, and for everything you now have. Forget totally what you do not have and never again worry about it.

When you make a list of all the blessings you have, right now, versus two or five things you think are missing in your life, you'll say to yourself :

All is well !

It is, has been, and will always be there

One day, while crossing a river, an elephant lost its food, a heart of palm, in the water. The animal was very hyngry, so it started searching its vegetable every where in the river. But, it couldn't find it. And, the more it searched and moved water, the more dirty and muddy it became. The elephant was angry and desperate, not knowing what else to do in order to find its food.

At this moment, a small animal was passing by. It saw the desperate elephant and asked what was its problem. After the explanation, the small animal advised :

- It's easy to find your food; very easy, indeed. Just relax, and be still. Don't move water again. And, when it becomes clear again, look. You will see it.

The elephant followed the advice and, finally, could find its vegetable. It was just there, lying under its feet.

The same thing is true for whatever you are looking for in your life, be it a solution to a problem, peace of mind, or whatever.

Your mind is just like water in the river. You will never find the solution to your problem in a troubled state of mind. However, it is, has always been, and will always be there. Just under your feet.

Quite your mind, relax, be still and look. Can you see it ?

Teachings from the universe

The universe speaks. And it speaks to us every day, and every moment. But, we are so blind and deaf, that we do not realize it at all. The universe is not something separate from us. We are part of it and everything around us as well. And everything that surrounds us has it individual and unique message for us to listen to and a deep and pofound lesson to learn and apply in our life.

Take a tree, for example. What is its lesson for us ?

- Stillness
- Taking roots
- Etc.

When we look at a tree, those are some of the lessons it teaches us permanently. Stillness means, whatever happens in your life, such as obstacles or challenges, don't panic. Never. Be quite, be still like the tree. The turmoil will pass, like the wind, and you'll still be there. Don't panic, or fear.

What about taking roots ?
When you look at a tree, a big tree, it is deeply rooted in the ground, without which solid growth, or stillness would be impossible. You see, ground is essential to the tree.

We, as human being, should have something similar or identical, that supports us and helps us grow strongly also. God , or spirit in us, is that something. We must be deeply rooted in God, to maintain our stillness or power, and to grow and resist to any challenge or obstacle that may come our way.

God is the ground in which our roots must be digged in. It is the anchor to the boat of our life. But, how do we get rooted ? We do it trough conscious thinking. In every moment and every day of our life, we must think of God as our anchor, or the ground in which our roots are profoundly diggged in.

Make it an habit of thought. Your attention and focus on God will serve as a link to establish this relationship between you and Him.

Do not let the so called obstacles and challenges distract you from this connection. Instead, stay determined to maintain it, no matter what.

Next time, we'll interpret another lesson from the book of the universe.
