Playing truant in the school of life delays your personal evolution

All creatures, including human beings, are here to grow, evolve and expand towards a higher consciousness. That's one of the main reasons for which we are here. But this implies diverse types of tests and experiences  along the path, including small incidents  as well as big challenges often erroneously perceived as problems, obstacles, difficulties, blocks, injustices and so on.

In fact, what you perceive as such are gifts and blessings from the Almighty, and should not be dreaded, resisted and avoided as most people do. Understand that these are necessary steps we all must go through, if we are willing to grow in knowledge, strength, wisdom, understanding, self mastery or even faith; and so, get ready for the next level of higher consciousness.

The majority of people would like life to be as a long calm and quiet river without any disturbance, so that they may enjoy it more fully. They believe that the unique purpose of life is to make human beings happy during their entire journey on earth, by insuring that every possible unwanted condition is put out of equation.

Only a few dare to challenge themselves by facing the difficult conditions of life with the conscious intention to exceed their current limits, and grow, up to a superior level of their consciousness. Maybe intuitively they know that there is not another way towards spiritual growth and evolution.

However, happiness is not the main purpose of human existence. Of course, enjoying from time to time happy events that delight your soul for a moment can be a good thing. But, such circumstances are always ephemeral by nature, like anything else in this dimension of life. So, they come and go, but never last forever.

The main purpose of life however, as stated at the beginning, is to make you grow, evolve, and expand unlimitedly, through all the exams presented to you along the path, in the form of challenges of all kinds. Happiness may delight you; that's true. But, by itself alone, you cannot achieve the spiritual growth and evolution you seek. 

And, if you'd like to have an idea of what your current level of self mastery and spiritual growth is, just observe how you react to the present conditions and circumstances of your life. The feedback you get from yourself like that is an accurate indicator of your current state of mind, as well as your spiritual level. This test will always reveal you the truth about yourself.

As such, life can be compared to a school in which we learn new lessons, that prepare us everyday for the next class, the next year. But if, all year long, we keep playing truant, miss and avoid important courses, we will not catch the essential lessons we are supposed to learn through these courses and pass the final exam that opens for us the door to the next class.

However, it is what we do all the time, when we resist the challenges of life which, like school, gives us new and important lessons every single day, through people, events and circumstances. But, these lessons are so well wrapped and deeply hidden in them that, most of the time, we focus only on forms.

We keep complaining about appearances, or  what is, erroneously perceived as threatening, while in fact these are bearers of lessons for us to grasp. Therefore people, events and circumstances come to you as messengers or teachers, not as ennemies whose mission is to hurt and push you down.

So, instead of joyfully and gratefully welcoming situations without any preconceived idea, and open mindedly be willing to learn from them in order to achieve a greater understanding that leads to a higher knowledge, we resist. Because we believe that life is unfair and against us.

Therefore, we do whatever we can to avoid or escape from people or situations we resent and dread.  But the fact is, as long as we behave like that, situations we resist cannot change; just as students who play truant cannot pass exams and enter the next class. That is, until they change their mind and decide to attend the courses and learn the lessons of the current class, they cannot move to the next.

In fact, situations are not meant to change externally. Change, instead, must come from you, in terms of  understanding and inner growth, before new challenges can be presented to you. That means, you have to become strong, spiritually speaking, to the extend that you no longer perceive conditions as separate, but as integrate parts of who you are now.

Today, take the decision to change your mind about people, situations, events and circumstances of your life.Remember, what is is, but the choice is yours; the choice to react  according to who you are. Decide you will no longer perceive them as separate entities, obstacles, blocks, or threats. But as blessings and opportunities to learn and evolve. And, with more and more understanding, by choosing love you would move towards higher levels of consciousness.

Once you've learned the lessons from a specific level of consciousness, situations will change by themselves and open the door for new ones in the same class or the next. It is not another way around. There is no escape, and the only result you get when playing truant, resisting and refusing to learn your lessons, is but a useless delay in your personal growth and evolution.

This, by the way, is not wise. Because when you do, you'll keep living the same situations over and over again, until you learn the lessons deeply hidden in them. These lessons, however, are delivered for your highest good. For in its infinite wisdom, life knows you must be well prepared and become strong, before you move foreward to the next level.

God knows all your impatience, frustration and anger. But, He's got also the whole picture; meaning,  the challenges waiting for you ahead, in your next classes. And because He loves you more than anything, He prepares you to be ready first, before you face those next challenges.

But, it is important to remember that you are not alone on the path of your journey to higher consciousness.God, through the Holy Spirit is forever present in you, providing you with continuous support and assistance.

That is the job of the Holy Spirit in you; to guide you and help you to catch the hidden lessons of your situations, so that you can move forward. But you also have an important responsibility in this process. It is to ask.

To do so, you must know what to ask,  how to ask, when to ask, and to whom. Asking is not as easy as  people think. If you are not clear at this point, you shouldn't even try to ask for anything. Because risks are that you get opposite results from your "bad" requests.

According to the bible, there is a major condition to perform before formulating any demand. In Matthew 21:22, this condition  is as follows:

"You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it."

"If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

You've got it! This major condition is belief, or faith that you have already received whatever you ask in prayer. But, what is it that you really ask for? What do you really need on your path to a higher conscousness?

In truth, the first thing you should ask from the Almighty is faith. For when you have faith,  you get clear about any situation; you get light. It is what you really need, in order to achieve the state of clarity necessary to learn your lessons.

Now that you know what to ask, when to ask then? You ask only when you are in a state of absolute relaxation, stillness, peace of body and mind. Call it the vortex or whatever. Anything you do out of this state, with a  trouble mind, leads directly to failure and disappointment.

But, how do you ask more effectively? You do it by genuinly giving thanks and gratitude that it is so, and living according this truth. You give thanks to whom? Of course to God, the Almighty, All That Is, through the Holy Spirit which is in you.

Only the Holy Spirit's voice can be understood by God, the Father. The Holy Spirit is the bridge between the Creator and you. You are not pure enough to get in touch with the Almighty, and all your efforts in trying to address directly your pryers and your gratitude to Him, will be vain.

There is still a lot to say about this communication between you and God. This, however, is the big picture.

It will be done onto you according to your faith

It will be done onto you according to your faith. This eternal truth in the holy scriptures has been repeated over and over since centuries and is still accurate today.Simply put, the meaning you give to anything in your life will be your reality. 

It is for this same reason Christ advised to not judge anything. "Judge not", he said, for whatever judgement you will give to any event or circumstance will turn out to be your personal reality. Because your judgement then becomes a decision that produces effects. We had already discussed this issue in the past. But I think it is worth coming back on this important question which is in direct relationship with the way we create our life.

The point where I'd like to get is the following. As you are going into a certain experience in your life, particularly the one you judge as "bad", pay attention to what you think and how you feel presently about it. Because, as stated earlier, your outcomes  will be in direct proportion with what you believe, and the way you think and feel.

There is one thing to keep in mind, always. It is that God loves you and everything you experience is for your highest good. From this postulate, only give positive meanings to everything and see whatever you experience as a blessing, because it is, indeed.

The advantage of this technique is that not only will you neither no longer feel bad and negative about yourself, nor see yourself as a victim, powerless, not enough, limited, guilty, separated from God and so on, but chances are that what was previously perceived as "bad" experiences will turn out to be very positive ones as well as blessings in your life. 

Benjamin Franklin, one of the greatest american thinkers put it well in one of his personal mastery traits with this advice: "notice the blessing in everything, big and small, dwell on the beauty in all I see, hear touch, taste and smell. Realize that everything is a gift from the Almighty and is put there in order to enjoy and learn from".

Once again, the meaning you give to whatever you experience is up to you, and will become your personal reality, not only inwardly, but externally also. In this lifetime, everyone of us has his particular lessons to learn, in particular circumstances. That explains why our birth conditions are not the same.We were not born in  same countries, in same families, or with the same color. 

There had never been a competition of any kind, or a contest from which winners got the reward to be born in specific countries and in specific conditions. Therefore, demonstrating pride for being a citizen of  one specific country, for ones appartenence in such or whatever, are pure ignorance. Even worse, this mental attitude would take you far away from your purpuse, which is to learn during this life time, and delay your personal evolution.

Being "rich" or "famous" in this world is not a gratification or a reward you receive in recognition of a personal performance or achievement  in some discipline. Just as being "poor" or suffering from a grave "disease" is not a sort of punishment due to some bad deeds in the past. Those are merely conditions we all go through in one moment or another in the cycle of  life, to enable us to learn what is to be learn in our process of evolution.

Those who are rich and famous today had already lived in different conditions and will again go through many others in the cycle of their existence. The same thing is true for those who are considered as poor today. It is sometimes amazing to see people telling others proudly how they got where they are, in terms of acquisitions, fame, or wealth as if at the level of ego, they were totally in charge of their apparent success. 

The truth is, those people don't even have a clue themselves how they got where they currently are. They have only an idea of what can be perceived on the surface of the conscious mind which, as known today, represents a very tiny and insignificant part of human being consciousness, unlimited and including the subconscious and the superconscious.

Today, everybody wants to be rich and famous and no one wants to be poor, because material "poverty" is seen as something "bad". But, who really knows the purpose of this apparent misery? Who reaches a clear understanding of the deep meaning and the profound wisdom hidden behind these particular conditions against which the entire planet is fighting?

If being poor was such a hideous condition, why did Buddha left the comfort of his fathers' palace, for this condition in which he finally found enlightenment? Why did Jesus refuse the riches of the world  proposed  by the devil or ego to him?  

Can you imagine a world in which everybody is rich and famous? In such a world, who will be doing what for whom? In other words, who then will be the master and who will be the servant? Who will be applauding the other? Who will be the teacher and who will be the student? And if everybody gets rich, what value will have money again?

You should thing about it. The relative value money has today is simply due to the fact that almost 4/5 of the population is "poor". Now, invert the tendency, and the richest men of the world will become anonymous, maybe like you in this moment.

Somenone  is called "rich", only because another is called "poor". There is neither superiority nor inferiority in that, because both are just two sides of the same coin; learning different lessons from different perspectives. It is just like that.  

You see, nothing is really as you imagine, or as you perceive it. You are absolutely a perfect son of God, living now certain conditions in this life time. I can assure you, there is nothing "good" nor "bad" in those conditions; just lessons to learn from them. 

However, the best way to live these conditions, particularly the "bad" ones that almost everybody wants to avoid, is through understanding, based on the knowledge that underneath each  circumstance lies a lesson, and a blessing, whose sole purpose, when discovered, is to help you evolve a step further, on your path to your spiritual realization.

Your difficulties are your best teachers

Your so called difficulties, failures, obstacles, shortcomings, blocks and everything you perceive and judge as "bad" are your best friends, not your ennemies. Did you know that?

Most of the time we are happy when things go as we like around us, and when they don't we cry and become miserable.

But the truth is that we learn and progress better in our life only through difficulties or shorcomings. We don't learn anything at all when everything in our life is just as we like it . Our diffiulties are in this sense our best friends.

We shouldn't resist them, they are in our life for a reason, which is to teach something highly valuable to us so that we may learn the lesson, grow and fly, like a butterfly getting out of the chrysalis.

So, instead of resisting, fear or worry about something you think is threatening you, welcome it, embrass it and be ready to learn. When you do it, the lesson will be delivered and you will progress to the next step of your evolution.

You are not stuck, but just learning...

Life is a big school, in which all of us learn and evolve; without exception. But, until you learn the lessons of a specific class, you would not be able to move to the next. Sometimes, you would learn faster in one class than in another, and move rapidely to the next. Other times, you would stay in the same, for so long that you would feel stuck, so that time would seem interminable to you.

All this would depend on the lessons to learn, as well as on your willingness and readiness to learn and understand them. According to me, the more you would spend time in a specific class, the more valuable your lessons and your improvement would be.

Whatever the situation you are in, remember that you are learning and then, be willing to take what is there for you. There is always something to grasp; always. And very often, you cannot see it because you spend most of your time resisting your current circumstances. Instead of wondering why this happens to you, your question instead should be, what is there for you?

Doing so, relax yourself and and be still. Then, wait for the answer which, soon or later, will be revealed to you. This answer is always there, waiting four your willingness to find it. But, only your resistance prevents you from finding it.

It is only when you have learned the lessons put there for you that you would be able to move to the next class; but never before, and no matter how long it would take and how hard you would try.

That's why it's an error to believe you are blocked or stuck in any situation. This would create only more resistance and more frustration in you. Instead of that, say to yourself that you are learning a very important and valuable lesson for your evolution then, be truly willing to know and learn it. With this state of mind, you would achieve more release and, in time, chances are that what it is there for you as lessons would be revealed to you, and you would understand.

A fruit cannot fall from the branche by itself if it is not yet quite matured; remember that. Therefore, be patient and let time be your allie. One day, you would see clearly and be ready for the next lessons.

Also, in life, people think that because they live together in the place, they are the same, learning the same lessons. This is not true. Everyone of us is learning his own lessons in his own class for his own awareness and evolution. We have the same spirit or soul, but not the same awareness while still living in this world. That is why it is useless to try to live someone else's experiences, "good" or "bad".

Again, although being of the same Source, we are not the same in this world. That's why there has been a very little change among human beings for milleniums on this earth, dispsite all the spiritual knowledge they have been given by many masters.

People can read spiritual or self help books, listen to sermons in churches and synagogues as they like, but because their awareness is not in alignment with the too high level of knowledge given to them, they would probably fail to apply it and would just remain the same.

Of course, for some of them, the things they hear or read would sound very good and touch their soul. They would really love them and feel very anthousiastic about them; but this anthousiasm would not last. Because some time later, all this would vanish without benefiting them, for they were not ready yet for the knowledge presented to them.

You can verify it in our daily life. For example, take courses from university and teach them to sudents from primary school. Really, do you think they would get anything from them? I don't think so. Eventually, they would grasp a few words here and there, but it would be very difficult for them to get their full meaning.

The same thing could even apply to adults for disciplines completelly unknown to them, at the point that even when the message would be provided in their habitual language, they would also experience lots of difficulties to follow and get all the details of the message delivered to them.

In conclusion, resistance is useless in this world of learning we are in. Learning could be delayed, however escape from it is not possible. No jump or quantum leap are authorized by the laws that govern this universe.

The only solution is to face your life as it is, courageously, without resistance. Then, patiently and consistently, willing to learn all the lessons you have to learn, through people, events and circumstances, in order to achieve there, the awareness that will lead you to the next level of your learning.

For a certain level of consciousness, certain experiences

Every living creature in this universe is intended to grow and evolve. Creatures of vegetable and animal kingdoms do it well, naturally and easily. Think of a tree, for example. Starting from a small seed , growing consistently moment to moment is its main task, until it becomes mature and produce fruits which later, will nourish other creatures.

Another good example is the butterfly. Its small egg develops to give birth to a caterpillar which, later also, will be transformed into a beautiful and colored butterfly. In these two examples, the process is operated with the great wisdom of the Infinite Intelligence that created worlds, without any slightest resistance.

The seed, in essence, "knows"what its final goal is: to be mature and produce fruits. Same thing for the egg, whose final goal is to achieve its full potential in the form of a butterfly, and become free, before spending time all day long, flying leisurely and joyously from one plant to another.

In their process of evolution, these two creatures do not worry, even for a moment, about how and when they will attain their mature state or respective goals. Never. They just keep growing and evolving in total abandonment to the infinite wisdom of the universe. They do not either get anxious or feared about the future, but instead, trust unconditionally the universe and its laws for everything.

That is the big difference between human beings and other creatures. Human beings live in doubts, worries, anxieties, frustrations and fears, while other creatures evolve in total confidence and unquestionned faith in the Infinite Intelligence that created them.

This attitude from human beings is pure nonsense. How hell can simple creatures like them have doubts about their creator? How could this be? Maybe human beings don't recognize God as their creator, and assume they created themselves as they are. Or, because they cannot perceive God directly, ideas about His infinite wisdom and powers seem too imaginary and, therefore, not credible.

This attitude is nothing else than a denial of God, their own source. They seem to have no other choice, but only count on their own forces. However, in times of difficulty, they get lost and feel desperate.

Why that? Why separate ourselves from our source by denying it, to be exposed to unnecessary sufferings in our life ?

The truth is, very often this attitude is not intentional. Something, call it ego or whatever name you give it, is standing between us and our creator. This thing prevents us from living in complete trust and confidence with our divine nature. It's the source of all our troubles and sufferings, and we can be free only by removing this impostor once and for all from our life.

Now, learning from example being one of the best known methods for acquiring knowledge, what lessons do we get from the seed and the egg?

Lesson1: As already discussed, the first lesson to learn is total, unconditional trust and faith in God, the Infinite Intelligence that knows and can everything. Because perceiving the all picture about your life, He knows exactly what is good for you or not, despite all appearances.

Your frustration and resentment for not getting something else, added to your strong will and persistance to obtain it, are only reactions from your limited ego. You cannot pretend, with such attitude, to trust God. On the contrary, it is a sign of pride on your part, meaning you know better than God about what is good for you.

Lesson2: It is patience and endurance ! My friend, do you know how to have everything you want? Do you know the secret for having all that you heart is longing for? Be patient. That's the secret.

If you look at your life now, you'll notice that many of the things you had desired in the past are already present in your life. Sometimes for years. You don't even remember having badly been craving for them. Today, they seem to have less importance. Because now, you are wanting something else that, one day, will also be yours, until it loses its value.

In life, many "obstacles" or "tests" may come your way, do not resist them. They are of great service to you, even when this seems difficult to accept at first. Don't complain and try to escape or run away from them.

Sometimes, problems persist because in your mind, you are not clear. It is as if your mind was troubled like troubled water. In this case, instead of resisting, just be still and wait. You will get clear, and in this clarity lies the truth.

The main intention of seemingly problems is to make you stronger than you now are. Therefore, be still and face them courageously. Let go of your ego completely and surrender to the Infininite Intelligence of All That Is to handle the situation, whatever it is. God's power wants to be expressed through you. Be open and release it.

Be no One ! The seed, for example, "knows" how to do it. When there is lack of water during the dry season, and not even a single drop of water can be found, can you imagine the seed complaining and crying all day long in front of its adversity? Never. The seed remains still and confident. It experiences calmly the permanent alternation of life's phenomenons, the "yin" and the "yang".

Lesson3: It is total abandonment to the infinite wisdom of the Infinite Intelligence. While faith and trust imply total confidence in God in achieving our goals, abandonment enables to completely let go and let God. In this state, you are carefree about details and outcomes. You know what you want, but don't care about whether or not you will get it. The result for you is the same. Because God's choice is already yours, and you accept it thanfully and joyfully.

Human beings are too attached to outcomes. Always wanting to achieve final results almost overnight, by transcending the natural laws of growhth and evolution. And when some delays are experienced in manifesting their desires, they get frustrated and mad.

Again, can you imagine the seed behaving this way for not producing fruits instantaneously? Or the egg, for not flying overnight? Only human beings do that! They cannot understand and accept that until they grow and evolve up to a certain level of consciousness, they are not yet ready for certain experiences. This would defy the natural laws of the universe.

Lesson4: It is about consciously living and accepting fully the present moment, without expectations. The seed or the egg do not care about whether they will achieve their respective goal or not.

Will the egg grow and be tranformed into a caterpillar that will one day become a beautiful butterfly? Noboby know. Maybe it will be eaten by another insect or animal. Will the seed grow and evolve to a big tree providing fruits to people and animals? Nobody knows. But the seed doesn't care about what will happen to its life the next moment.

The only thing that matters for both the egg and the seed is where their focus is NOW, and, moment to moment, evolve towards their goal. The question you, as human being, must ask yourself over and over and moment to moment, is this :

"Is what I am thinking, feeling and doing in this moment in harmony with my main goal in life, which is to grow and evolve to high levels of consciousness"? If the answer is no, correct the the course of your thoughts, feelings and actions immediatly, and align them with your life purpose. To be successful, do this inquiry many times a day.

Lesson5: It relates to the consciousness of perfection behind every step of our process of evolution. When growing or evolving to higher levels of consciousness, no step in the journey is more important than another. All are interdependent and perfect in their stage and at their time. Without the egg, no caterpillar; and no caterpillar, no butterfly. The same truth applies to the seed and the tree.

That means, every step in life is whole in its nature and perfect as it is. Applying to human beings, this truth can bring great relief to the resistance they have in their day-to-day life. In fact, they rarely accept fully their current point in life. Always, wanting to be somewhere "else" or have something "better". They never agree with their now, specially when some of its aspects are not as they would prefer.

For example, if they want a better car, a better home or a better job, they see the one they have as imperfect. If they are on the dole or single, they see their condition as imperfect. They judge it negatively. But you know what? This attitude is what maintains things as such, without any improvement.

Human beings have decided in advance that what they desire is "better" than what they have now. Therefore, they live with too much expectations for future changes in their life. Forgetting that where they are now is a necessary step to get where they want to be, and even when they get there, they will still be moving forwards, but always in their wholeness.

Have in mind that only perfection is, has always been and will ever be, despite all appearances. Our true nature, and the nature of everything, is perfect. For this reason, when God looks at you, the only thing He sees like in a mirror, is: perfection. That's all. If the reflected image was different, God would not be perfect. Because what we perceive is only the reflection of what we are. As God is perfect, He can only see perfection.

Refuse to be attached to outcomes or live with expectations for the future. That will release you from useless resistance and sufferings. Know that your life is already perfect the way it is, now. Nothing is missing to you in this very moment. Nothing is missing to an egg, nor to a caterpillar. Even the butterfly is still evolving by giving birth to new eggs.

Only your ego always tries to convince you of the contrary. Unfortunately, you let it win most of the time. But, if you had already a certain level of consciousness, this truth would be more clear to you. You are already perfect exactly where you are.

Another truth to remember is that this process has no end. As someone said: "you will never get it done". You will never reach a point where you will be said: "stop". Your life is an infinite journey in which every single step is whole and complete in itself.

Lesson6: It is about your ultimate goal in life, and also the ultimate goal of every creature and everything in existence : unconditional service. Whatever the conscious level you may achieve, it is intended to help and serve others.

But, the main point here is that, this service must be unconditional. Look at the nature, and you will agree that everything serves unconditionally. The fruit tree, the sun, the rain, etc. All of them serve the universe without reserve or condition.

Some people, even at an advanced stage of their life, always consider themselves as small seed. They always want to be served by others and keep willing to take, over and over, not realizing that time has already come for them to give in return.

They even don't wonder why, despite all their attempts to get more, they can no longer receive as they wish. The thing is, when a container is already full of water, it cannot take more of it. Make rooms in yourself by giving out something good to others, whatever it is. Then, they will be filled by good things also.

Stop for a moment and analyse yourself. Do you think you are already mature? If your answer is yes, then start giving more, instead of asking. There are so many things you can give, I assure you. Money and stuff aren't the only things to give.

What about your good will, your love, your kindness, your work, your smile, your help or support, your encouragement, your compliment, your time, your devotion, your advice, etc. Anybody can give something, no matter what.

To go even farther, know that the only thing we do in life in: giving!

Yes. It's the only thing we do, moment to moment all day long. But, we do it unconsciously. Our thoughts, feelings, emotions and deeds are sent out constanly in the form of energy and vibrations, which bring back to us corresponding experiences. Therefore, why not chosing by ourselves what we decide to send out?

Unconditional living is one of the keys to happiness. This way, you live without expectations from anybody or anything. You become totally whole in yourself and totally free. Your life does no longer depend on external events and circumatances.

With an unconditional life, you decide to live the way you wish. That is, you are happy for nothing, you are abundant for nothing, you give for nothing, you are kind for nothing, you love for nothing, etc. In a word, you live for nothing. No expections in return!

All these lessons, in fact, apply to every creature, and only human beings are not able to live in total obedience to their creator, due to the interferences of their egos. These interferences are what jams and retards the normal process of their evolution.

Ego creates doubts, worries, anxieties, frustrations and fears in human beings. For this reason, they must always pay attention to what is happening in their mind, moment to moment, so that when noticed, these negativities are automatically rejected and thrown away.
