Regain Your Power

Who do you think is in control of your mind?
Who do you think is the master of your life?
Who do you think has real power over you? 

In case you didn’t know your whole existence
Is determined mostly by the status of your mind 
Which is whether in peace or slave of feelings  

When your reactions are only based on feelings
You lose all your power and become a puppet
At the mercy of people, events or circumstances 

But to regain your power and remain the master
Stillness and peace of mind are the way to follow
Without any identification to the feelings in you   

There is a relationship between your state of mind
And how you judge and react to what is in your life
Which by nature is neutral and without meaning

The only meaning whatever may have for you
Is the one you give it through your judgments
Often based on nothing and are thus erroneous 

There also lies your happiness and unhappiness
As direct outcomes of your own mental attitude
Developed and strengthened from false thinking 

Stop judging and identifying yourself with feelings
Stop reacting from the false unchecked assumptions
And do whatever you can to keep your mind safe

That is the price to pay to get your power back
That is the way out to give yourself freedom again
And at last to know the happiness you truly are

The Perpetuation Of Illusions

If the world you perceive is not real
If what seems to happen doesn’t occur
If life is merely a dream or pure illusion
The best way to deal with is to let it be
Just as it is and as it appears to you 

Your attempts to change the way life is
Is like trying to catch the wind with a hand
Or extinguish the fire in a burning house
By throwing water on the smoke outside 

When you try hard to change what is
You end up altering your peace of mind 
And even make it more real and powerful 
That’s why you feel the way you do 

Doing so you focus all your attention
And all your energy on the subject
Giving it more life and more energy
And the more you try more energy it gets 

Instead focus your attention only
On what you want to experience
To give it more life and let it grow
Until it manifests when time comes 

However have always in mind
That both are part of the illusions
And exchanging one for another
Is but just perpetuating the dream

Fulfillment is more close to you than your own breath

No external achievement
Will ever bring you fulfillment
Happiness or peace of mind

This will never be
For fulfillment is an inner state
Just as happiness and peace of mind

More close to you than your breath
And not requiring you go somewhere
Or get anything from the outside

But only to believe that it is so
So that you experience it inwardly
And then manifest it externally

Stop reacting negatively and just be

Every Negative Reaction you have
Is a Disturbance to your Peace of mind
And an Indicator of your lack of Focus
On your Inner Being or Source

Only Consistent Attention to True Self
Without Distraction about anything else
Keeps life Flowing naturally through you
In complete Stillness and Balance

But the good measure of your Mastery
Is your capacity to maintain your inner Peace
In the middle of apparent Turmoil or Scarcity
Without the slightest sign of Impatience or of Irritation

Average people do not like Challenging situations
Always prefering to stay constantly in their Comfort zone
In which life moves smoothly according to their petty wishes

As a result Progress seems almost impossible to them
However only through difficulties could you ever Grow
And never by taking Easy Ways in the life's journey

Wise people however are always in search of difficulties
Knowing Intuitively that behind them lies more Strength and Power
They look endlessly for more Threatening and Challenging conditions

And whenever time comes to be in front of such situations
They Face them without any Fear, Blame or Complain of any kind
But with the ferm Intention to be Free and Evolve through them

You know what you Fear or resist the most in life
However Only through it could you find Freedom
By Ignoring the Threat without any Negative Reaction
And just Be without any Distraction

The heart of palm as peace of mind

Do you remember the story of the elephant which spent many hours in the river, searching unsuccessfully a heart of plam it lost in the water; but that it couldn't find dispite all its efforts to do so?

In fact, what was the real problem of the elephant? Simply that when the heart of palm fell down in the river, the elephant hastily and blindly started searching furiously and rageously everywhere in the river; and the more it searched, the more troubled and dirty the water became.

As a result, completelly exhausted, our hungry friend couldn't find its food, until a very small animal came passing by and which, having listened the elephant's story, gave him the following advice: "friend, if you want to find your food, stop struggling and troubling the water. Slow down, be still and relax. Let the water became clear again to enable you find where your heart of palm is".

The elephant followed the advice of our new friend and, imagine what happened. The heart of palm was right there, lying quietly under its feets!

The morality of this storyI love so much is that, whenever you are troubled for any reason, you cannot find peace or the solution to your problem with an agitated mind. Just as the elephant couldn't get its food back from the troubled water. That is impossible!

Whatever the situation you are confronted to in this moment, you must remain calm, be still and relaxed completelly. And when you are in this relaxed state physically, your mind will follow also. Now, look at the problem or situation directly. Don't try even for a moment to escape from it; instead, face it, welcome it and spend some time observing and examining it closely.

Now, start forgiving the situation and yourself for all the trouble you are experiencing. Keep doing it until you feel some sense of relief. Maintain and increase this feeling of relief with detachment before letting go. This is realized by seeing the situation or the trouble progressively fading away from you, little by little, until it disappears completelly from your sight.

At the same time, clarity, followed by love, take place in your mind little by little also, just as trouble disappears from it. And when all the troubled water-confusion in your mind- has vanished, you'll discover that the solution you were looking for was lying there, just under your feet. But you could't find it as long as you were persisting in your agitation.

But, above all, know that the only thing you have really been searching for is peace of mind. Now, you know how to find it.
