Often, many self help gurus or spiritual teachers make you believe, through their success stories, that change is easy and that you just have to learn and apply what they teach in order to achieve the same results.
This is simply not the truth. Things have become relatively easy for certain people because they have attained a certain level of consciousness and understanding of the truth after dedicating years and years of practice, or even lives. Results, then, seemed to come almost effortlessly.
But this is not the case for everyone. Or, men wouldn't remain at this point two thousands years after Christ teachings. The truth is, although we are the same in our divine essence, we are however very different at the level of our conscious state.
What most self help gurus are teaching people is that success, wealth, health, peace of mind or whatever are easy because they have succeeded in one area or another of their life, without an idea of what the conscious level of their students is. They just say "I have succeeded, so can you. Use my materials and do the same".
Personally, I think it would be honest on their part to let people know that results do not come overnight, just after reading a particular book or attending a particular seminar. Unfortunately, it is what most self help gurus promise, and average people run to buy these products without any guarantee of success.
So, understand one thing. You will never be like anyone else, despite all your efforts to do so. Use the knowledge that comes your way with the only purpose to make progress, and not to get results now, or you will be disappointed.
Know one thing, results do not depend on you, but personal efforts do. In other words, you are not accountable for results, but only for your efforts to make progress and evolve to higher levels of consciousness which, when attained will produce correspondent outcomes. But, never will you be able to produce outcomes that are not in harmony with who you are now. Always remember that!
And, don't worry about not being perfect here on this plane, about not mastering yourself, or not achieving your goals. What really matters is your will to make progress. Then, let results take care of themselves when time comes, in this lifetime or another. They know how to manage doing that.
Also, never forget that you are an eternal being, and that your life does not stop with what you call death. The truth is that you live forever and, what is not achieved now, will be reached in one life or another. Be patient therefore, and still. Those are your attributes in eternity. Patience with yourself , patience with others and patience with events and circumstances.
Two thousands years ago, the Great master Jesus said that the things He was doing, we will be doing the same, or even greater ones. He didn't affirm that we would do them overnight. He knew that it takes time to change and awaken from our current state of consciousness to high level ones.
So, it is not easy. And, affirming the contrary would be a lie. Again, be contented to make efforts towards progress. That's your part. And let results to take care of themselves in God's hands.

It has nothing to do with something extrernal
The block, or stuck you think you are in has its root cause in you, and in you alone. Don't look for it or for relief outside of yourself. You will not find it there. Instead, look inside of yourself, where all the universe is. But, forcing things to happen outside and blaming external circumstances are negative attitudes. They are useless, and will lead you nowhere.
Remember how the elephant could find the heart of palm it lost in the water. After having rigorously and angrily disturbed water and searched for it unsuccessfully everywhere in the river for a long time, the elephant very upset, felt very stuck and tired, not knowing what else to do. A fog, passing by, told him to calm down and remain still, so that water gets clear. The elephant followed and applied its advice and, after a while, the river became clear again and the heart of palm could be found.
The amazing thing about you is that you possess knowledge intellectually, but you are not convinced enough, like the elephant before in the story, at the point to apply it in your own life. The first reason is that you are not constant and consistent about a chosen path. You try many things or many paths at the same time, not following one of them to its end. What you are doing is merely jumping from one technique or teaching to another all the time. And this is the sure recipe for failure.
The second reason is that you seem to appreciate knowledge for knowledge, just for the feeling of joy (the joy to know), satisfaction, amazement, or specialness you get from it. However, knowledge is not to be hidden inside of you. It is to be applied, or it vanishes or dies. But, you seem to not give enough time to apply what you learn. You believe that in itself, knowledge is enough for the improvement of your life. This is a lie.
This stanza is perfectly clear about the subject: "Although a man may be book learned, if he doesn't apply what he knows, he is like a blind man who, with a lamp in his hand, cannot see the road".

You see, Applying is really a key point in your path to success. But, to apply does not mean necessarily to be perfect or to succeed overnight. Far from that. That means to exercise, to practice and to do training constantly and consistently moment to moment, day by day, like a athlete, until what you learned is transformed into an habit recorded in your subconscious mind. Results, therefore, become almost instantaneous and automatic externally, when time comes.
You would ask when and how to apply what you learn. The answer is very simple. Know that every waking moment of the day is an occasion to apply the knowledge you now possess. There is no specific time for that. But, above all, don't expect a particular result; they will take care of themselves instantaneously, as said earlier, at the right time. That's how it works, and not another way around.
Also, be kind to yourself and love yourself. Most of the time it is not the case. Because when you entertain toxic thoughts and feelings such as impatience, frustration, anger, resentment, fear, worry, anxiety, doubts and so on, you pollute your mind and all your being. That does not do good to yourself.
Remember that God loves you eternally and unconditionnaly. And if this is true about God Himself Who created His loving Son, it should be true about you. Who are you to be against the will of God? Therefore, be good and kind to yourself, encourage yourself, celebrate yourself, forgive yourself and love yourself, just like Fhe father for His beloved Son that you are.

And if tomorrow was your last day to live?
Life is an uncertain journey, and never will you be able to predict in advance what the next moment will bring you. It is like walking in the fog without seeing what is in front of you. You just keep walking, until your next step leads you to a precipice, and you fall to death.
Knowing that at any moment, you can fall into such a precipice and die, what would be the best way to go with life?
I don't know. However, it would be a good idea to be prepared everyday for this last step. And you do it by asking yourself this question everyday:
If tomorrow was my last day to live, what would I do?
In my case, I would say:
I have tried to understand through books, like many others before me, what life was about. And from that, I wanted to be the best person I could imagine myself to be: Healthy, Wealthy and Wise. I really wanted to express my fool potential and become a role model for others. I thought also that, with a certain level of spiritual knowledge, it would be possible and I would be able to manifest the kind of life I desire.
Today, can I honestly say that I have succeeded or not? It seems really difficult, because my perception of truth is so limited that any affirmation from me would be a mistake.
I sincerely think that, on my own, it is impossible to find out what all this is about. And, walking in the fog, I need a power greater than me, to show me the way and lead me. So that, even in the fog, I could feel secure, knowing that He walks with me, and protects me.
Thus, if I had to leave the game tomorrow, my advice to my brothers would be to be humble and realize that, because we are blind and deaf, and not even knowing where we are going, the only alternative, the ONLY ONE, is to give ALL OUR LIFE TO GOD, AND HAVE A BLIND TRUST, FAITH AND CONFIDENCE IN HIM, AND HIM ALONE.
Believing that we can succeed alone, without His light and support is pride.
